Welcome to American Legion Post 440 located at 41 Linden Ave in Newtown, PA. We are actively involved in our community, and committed to veterans from ALL conflicts and their families. Since we've been around for one hundred years, we have collected a huge quantity of resources.

We are over 170 members strong, and of course, we are always seeking new members. If you are a veteran who wants to hang out or chat with your brothers and sisters who were there—or even if you are just interested—please contact us, ask a question, or better yet—come down to one of our meetings.

ALL veterans are welcome. We are still serving our country.

September Events

9/1/26 7pm Post Executive Meeting
9/14/26-SAL Squadron 440 "Monday Night Football Kickoff". $20 for pizza and beer. This event will be held every Monday Night during the NFL Season.
9/15/26-@5pm-Dinner/General Membership Meeting @7pm. Our District 9 Commander, Jack Pashley, will be swearing in our Post Officers.
9/16/26-@7pm-Sons of the American Legion, Squadron 440 meeting.
9/24/26 @6pm-Legion and Squadron Game Night. Phillie's game and Flyers on TV.
Our 2027 Post 440 Membership Renewal Drive is underway! We already have 102 Members renewed for 2027! You should have received your 2027 Renewal Form in the mail. Please send in a check to the Post for $42, or go online to https://post440newtown.org and use the "Renew" button. Our goal is to have all members renewed by the end of August!
